Members shared the inspiring mantras and quotes that sustain them through challenging days, with faith-based affirmations like 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me' and reminders to take things 'one day at a time' emerging as recurring themes of hope and perseverance. Several members found strength in accepting their reality while maintaining humor, referencing everything from 'Just keep swimming' to their dog's philosophy of 'pee on it and walk away,' and emphasizing that laughter, self-compassion, and remembering 'this too shall pass' help them stay grounded when stress feels overwhelming. A powerful thread throughout was the belief that progress happens slowly, that being a loving parent matters more than being perfect, and that small acts of resilience, from deep breaths to starting over after meltdowns, add up to meaningful change over time.

From a psychologist that I work with and consult with about single-parenting a child with autism, "Remember, this is a marathon--not a race--so, you need to pace yourself!" I think of that phrase when i start to feel like I'm "spinning", and it helps me to refocus.
