How do I increase the length of time my son will stay somehwere?

My son, Riley, will only spend about 45 minutes anywhere (except at home) before he asks to leave. He will initially ask politely and I can normally extend our time by about ten minutes before he starts to get upset. So he'll at least give me some time to say goodbye and get our coats.
