Does anyone have any potty training tipS?
I am at my wits end. Granted I am very thankful we no longer paint the walls but I wish we could get to the potty. My little boy is almost 5 he seems I can sit him for5 mins on the potty and the min he gets off he goes on himself or takes clothes off and goes.

Try treats. We used gummy bears for our son and it worked very well. You can reward him for just sitting on the potty, so he gets used to pulling down his pants to start the process. Don't worry if he doesn't go, just reward for the act of sitting. Then reward him for going. Do a potty dance, etc. as well. If you make it too much of a task, they will not like going.
i had to leave my daughter on the potty all day she ate on it she played on it for 7 years i would take her to the rest room and when she wouldnt get it i would go back to pull ups , well i got tired of those pull ups and my 8th year of potty training she got it but i had her do everything on it until she knew that what comes out of there goes in there, it wasnt easy im sure u know that nothing us parents go thru is but it was very hard but she got it cruel but i worked

Examples are always nice for him to see even if you don't have the same parts. Using social stories in the bathroom works well (a bathroom picture strip of what to do for a visual reminder as well). Reinforce any type of trying and slowly build up to a big reward if he completes a full on bathroom experience. They make videos as well but there also comes a time where they just get it all of a sudden. Be excited about it and show him how proud you are when he tries or even does it!
