Hi! im planning to buy a bike to enjoy the sunshiny weather and i want to take monkey with me. he doesn't know how to ride a bike yet, even tricycles that's why im thinking of getting a bike trailer/stroller or one of those seats you attach to your bike so your kid can ride with you. my kid is kinda tall and over 40lbs. what do you think i should get, a trailer of those seat thingys? anybody has experience on this? thank you!

As soon as mine grew too big for the trailer (about 4 y/o) we got a 'one-wheeled' trailer that attached to the seat stem on the parents bike. Essentially, it's half a bicycle. He had to sit on a bicycle seat with hands on handlebars, but could also peddle when the spirit moved him. It was a great transition towards a regular bike when he was ready.

Looks good! You'll have to keep us posted with how you & your son like it :-) My son LOVES riding on his trail-a-bike, behind the adult. And the neighborhood kids....keep asking for a turn, too. LOL

We bought a trail a bike that attaches to the adult's bike (it's a bike attachment that looks like a kid's bike without a front wheel. It attaches to the post of the adult bike). My son is 5 & 50 lbs. He knows how to sit on a kid's bike & how to attempt to pedal (he just doesn't have the omph to get anywhere). It's a little wobbly, but he LOVES it. This is our first experience with any bike attachment. Maybe something to consider for when your son is a bit older.

@A MyAutismTeam Member will do missy. i will figure out how to get that bike because honestly, its way off my budget but ill figure something out. :-). @martincunningham, i was thinking of that but i was concerned that monkey might fall off the bike because hes not an experienced biker and moves around alot. i like the weehoo thing but its not the one i habe in mind, pretty close though. i wish i can design one thats going to be perfect for our needs! i was thinking of converting those adult tricycle, like instead of a basket at the back, ill replace it with a seat for monkey. oye! i should find an industrial designer and a good welder! lol
thanks for the input guys! much appreciated!
