Spanx for compression therapy

My son is beginning puberty. He has had 'man boobs' for awhile now. He has not been diagnosed by a Dr. as having Klinefleter or gynecomastia but I will ask at his next appointment. What worries me is him being teased in middle school for having boobs. I was thinking about getting him some Spanx undershirts (They have them for men now). My child doesn't have any extra weight, but he loves his Under Armor shirts and it didn't occur to me until now why. LOL
