Do you pray for your Autistic child and for other families?

I would like to get connected with and share more about my story with people who pray because I'm really facing some difficult battles. Then, I will also pray for you in your struggles. I would like to connect personally to one or two of you to keep these things more confidential. I need more than an understanding ear for this but a warrior advocate. Thanks! :)

Members responded warmly to a request for prayer support, with nearly everyone affirming that they pray regularly for their children with autism, other families, and for guidance in navigating daily challenges. Several members offered practical connections, including recommending the book 'Disability and the Gospel,' sharing the Children of Destiny website specifically for praying for children with autism, and expressing willingness to connect personally for ongoing prayer support. A recurring theme was the power of prayer as both a source of strength and a way to process difficult emotions like anger and frustration, with members emphasizing that God is big enough to handle honest feelings and that leaning on faith has been essential in their journeys.

I pray all the time. My daughter is menatlly ill on top of her Asperger's, plus, being a young adult there are very little resouses available to us. Praying, while very difficult because I am very angry right now, is one way of releasing my anger. God's big enough to handle it so I'm not worried. It's tough to pray when you don't think God is listening or caring. I pray anyway and tell Him how I feel.

I pray for my son, his caregivers, his treatments, and for other families. The Lord has answered in amazing ways. Would love to connect with you more so I would remember to pray for you.

I just got a review copy of a new book for Christian parents of kids with disabilities. It's called "Disability and the Gospel: How God Uses Our Brokenness to Display His Grace" by Michael Beates. I haven't gotten the chance to read that far into it yet, but it looks really good. Do look for it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1433530457
