my son is seven years old, he still has trouble with pronoun reversal the you and me. any ideas or games that we could play that would help him understand this concept????
There are many on-line grammer sites. The good news is, I am friends with people who are 35-55 who still use it incorrectly.. I really think I am one of the only people who notice though.... Anyway, to your question.
**Using or is determined (one way) by wether it is being used as the "subject" or "object".
SUBJECT:{You and I} went to go to eat.
OBJECT: David gave the map to {you and me}.
You can also exchange the words, and seperate the sentence to see what makes sense.
1)You went to go eat. I went to go eat (both make sense) "Me" went to go eat, doesnt. Same for the ends..
Dave gave the map to you.. Dave gave the map to me... Dave gave the map to "I" "I" doesnt make sense.
Another of my pet peeves is the usage of good and well. Look it up if you want. Quickly, "something" is good; An action is well. Ex: The steak was good.. The girl's played "good" is incorrect. They're doing something... The girl's PLAYED well. I hope you are DOING well. That's it for now
