yES FOR MY SON ipad HAS BEEN A LIFE SAVER, he went from non verbal to verbal with the help of speech and the ipad
Does you child have an IPad? It has helped my son a lot and entertains him too.
Cheap shaving cream for play on the table. Kids love it and it cleans the table wonderfully. Also, a rice/bean bin for sensory fun. I hide cheap toys in the mixture and have them sift through with hands to find it. Be sure to get a small bin with top that stays closed. lol You could also do a water table. My version is another small plastic store box with lid that I fill 1/3 with water and put toys in and let them splash away. I usually do this on the back porch but if you have tile floor, you can just throw some dirty towels down around where you have it.
Want to make goo? I warn you it's messy so maybe do it the bath tub or somewhere you don't care if it gets messy. Get Elmer's glue and pour it in a bowl you also don't care about and then use corn starch spray (what you use to iron your clothes). Mix until you have goop. Have fun. Again, it's messy. For clean fun, maybe wicci sticks and construction paper. Not sure if you were looking for messy play stuff.
I make GOO with cornstarch and baking soda because the children I work with eat everything. We just made it in class this week, so much fun. One cup of each with 1/2 cup of water.
Did any other mother of an ASD child test abnormal on their PRENATAL RISK QUAD SCREEN ?
