Poop
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

How do i get my daughter to stop holding her poop in? She is almost 3...doctor says it's behavioral...any suggestions???

A MyAutismTeam Member

My son did the same thing because his poops were so hard they hurt. We now give him "Lil Critters Fiber gummies" every day. Problem solved. Pear juice is good too.

My 5 year old son just recently started kindergarten. Has anyone ever told the parents of the other childern about their child being autistic? My husband and I have been talking about maybe writing a letter or sending an email to the other parents so if the their child comes home talking about Harley and maybe some strange behavior that they didn't understand that the parents would understand and be able to explain it a little more. I just don't want kids complaining to their parents that… read more

How Can I Help My Family Understand And Help My Son?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My in-laws get very frustrated with my son. My mother-in-law(who's lives with us) has said on a few occasions "can't you DO something about him!!" And variations on that during his extremely hyperactive episodes and meltdowns. I'm already frustrated and lost and feel helpless. And this isn't helping!

A MyAutismTeam Member

Well one thing I learned is that if everyone in the house isn't on board, following methods and learning about the child with autism, then things do not go well for anyone. The older generation seem… read more

Aba
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

How do u know if your child needs ABA?

A MyAutismTeam Member

It’s usually the recommendation of the Dr who diagnosed. If it’s something you’re considering then you’d have an evaluation done just like with other services like speech and OT
