All her old places were happy she is back and working on getting her back in the programs .... keep finger's crossed she should be back in her day care in 2 weeks.... So thankful to be back .... I am sorry to hear Gaston county doesn't have any programs ... I hope something gets going soon ... Have you thought of starting one up? Good luck and please stay in touch.... Sandi

@ CBP... Thank you I have looked into this and have been on a waiting list over a year and was told some people have been on list over 10 year's.... I am at a loss to the point I have been looking to move back to VA where there was help with her care and hope I can get her back in her old daycare.... Moving to NC wasn't good for her and now I have to try to get her back to va to get the help we need.... @ Porter .... Thanks did go back several times and was given the names of two adult day cares they will pay for and neither place felt they were a good choice for Miranda .... They never even met me or Miranda as soon as they found out her age it was like a red flag went up ..... I would never recommend NC as a state to live in with an adult autistic daughter unless you have money to pay for the care in which case I don't..... So thank's everyone but as soon as I can figure it out and a way to do it were moving back to va....

you should be able to get a waiver for medicaid services like the EDCD, DD or ID waivers that provide for attendants or adult activity centers...Every state has these programs, but process is different. I would go back to DSS and ask about medicaid options...and keep asking..
