My son has had this persistent cough, nasal conjestion for the last 6 months. He gets better and then it starts again. No fever. Hes been through rounds of antibiotics in the winter but now we were told to just use Allegra and Nasonex. Still same result. Also doing nasal saline and bulb. Tons of mucus usually. Anyone have a similar situation. What works?
I don't know if this could possibly be your situation but I had a friend who's child had a persistent cough that just would go away. They eventually scoped her esophagus and found out that her stomach acid was rising up so far it caused the cough and sinus irritation.
@A MyAutismTeam Member; that's funny...my wife always suspected that..especially when he eats pasta sauce. She said it may have caused a acid reflux that's coming up his esophagus. We are seeing an ENT soon. Will let you know.
Has he had an allergy tes done? My son had severe
nasal congestion. His pediatrician had some medicine mixed for him and is testing him for allergies in two weeks.
What brand did you use?
