My 4 yr old has been going to a clinic for ABA for about 3 months now. One of the skills he is learning is how to wait. Wait in line, wait to talk, etc. well, last week my Mom was here staying a couple if days. Ethan was delighted because he got to sleep with her while she was here. Getting ready for bed one night, Ethan was in the kitchen taking his night time meds. My Mom was in the living room, said well I'm going to go get ready for bed. Ethan became frantic. "WAIT GRAN GRAN!!! WAIT WAIT!" That made her stop, then he says "now show me how you wait? Put your hands in your lap. Good job waiting Gran Gran!" Of course we all cracked up. Not only does he understand waitng now, he teaches it!!!
walking with my 5yo son through Kohl's, and I'm pointing out the pretty red and soft of nightgowns, he walks over to the bras and literally started feeling them up like a teenager!

When my dd was 2/ 3 she had few words. However, she loves going outside. Her way to say outside was "DIE". It did not matter were we where, if there was a window and wanted to go outside, she would repeat - "DIE" over and over again. My husband and I had to fight back cracking up!
