So it turns out we need to frame an ABA plan around leaving activities by somehow using a car ride. My daughter (who is Severely Autistic, nonverbal, age almost 15) got upset this morning beacuse I told her it was time to get her backpack ready, and she hadn't finished her food. My 4 year old also likes frenchtoast sticks. He doesn't like the gluten free ones. He likes Mcdonalds Fries. He Doesn't like Gluten free fries. I find myself wasting so much money on these over priced foods that don't have the same consistency of regular foods nor taste. My son is on an ADHD med, Vyvanse. Does anyone have experience using mood stabilizing medication with their children along with Vyvanse or other ADHD meds? How about the addition of blood pressure medication that has been seen to stabilize moodiness caused by ADHD meds?

Hey All! I am looking for ideas for a gluten free, dairy free drink for my 3yo son with ASD. I googled it and found OneSource- it is lactose free but made from milk. He is not lactose intolerant.. it is a full-on dairy allergy. No whey or casein so that isn't going to work. I know there has to be SOMETHING out there along the lines of Boost or Ensure.. with his autism he is VERY particular about what he will eat. I have him on a multivitamin but I feel like I need to do more. Any suggestions?

We just got our diagnosis for my 4 year old. Autism (high end of the spectrum) and ADHD. I denied medicine at this time, because I don't believe it's a necessity at this time. I was wondering how people feel through their personal experiences with a gluten free / casein free diet? Good or bad.. Thanks!
