My son, a college sophomore-junior is having great difficulty passing Calc I. He has taken the pre-requisites but still is not able to get beyond a grade in the sixties. I think a diagnostic-comprehensive assessment would help us uncover where the weakness lies. He needs this class to move on in all majors he has identified. Where or how do you think I could get this done.
Most college's and universities have a disabilities center designed to help with things such as these. Perhaps your son's does?
yes, get a good tutor that is familiar with working with people who have developmental disabilities.
When Alex started college, he had a full assessment from the psychological services center. We spent many days at the college before his first semester completing the testing. Perhaps the counseling center at your school could identify the best place for the assessment.
