Thank you for responding to my question. We just did a genetic cheek swab to see what meds he can tolerate.Joey really has not been on meds , but now is having alot of obsessions and anxiety. Prior to the test he was put on celexa 20 mg. took it for three weeks and the dr. increased it to 40 mg. that was on May 20th the day my life changed . Joey went psycotic, he was always kind and gentle and he was out of control I couldnt leave his side. We called everyone but no help .Our board of DD told us we would just have to take him to the ER, which we did five times . He was diagnoised with seratonin sydrome that was caused by the medication. I havent been able to go back to work since . I t is finally working out of his system but needs something to help with the obsession and anxiety .Joeys test came back that he cant take many meds but Latuda and Goedon r ones that r ok . I started him on the Latuda lastnight but he couldnt sleep. I dont think this will work I have tried things from the health food store no help. Joey graduated from an Autism unit last year and is working at my uncles bakery four days a week.I think that the transition or lack of has played a part in his situation . In school they have alot of support and once they graduate they fall off the deep end. Any advice will be helpful !
