Do Any Of You Have Ideas For Prom Dates For Special Needs Teens
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

This should never be a problem, but as Prom time gets closer, I was trying to find ideas in Chicago for Special Needs and Teens with disabilities. They should not be left out and the traditional prom setting just does not work for our family. Any info would be helpful from the past or present.

Tutoring For Reading 3rd Grade Level
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I live in Logan and my son goes to Mount Logan Middle School. He is behind on reading. I was told that they would have the technology to help him with reading in his other classes but apparently they don't have the funding for this type of technology. I am wondering if there are any tutors in the area that could help with reading.

Ddoes Anyone Know Of A Good Inclusion Summer Program?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am in a bit of a situation and hope someone has some good advise. I live in Oakland CA and I had singed up my son for an inclusion program at the local rec center. From the very start I advised he needed a 1:1 aide. I was told one would be provided. I have now been told they can't provide one. I need to find another program for my son. Does anyone know of a good inclusion program for a 9 year old child with ASD in Oakland CA or close by?

Do they receive their funding from a municipal park district? If so, the program manager should contact a local special recreation association be the 1:1 until they find a suitable 1:1 is found.
