I was looking on amazon and I came across Behavior Balance supplement from autismcoach.com. I went on their website and they have protocol kits and the one for autism has liquid carnosine plus. I was interested in behavior balance because it has DMG, TMG, magnesium, B6, B12, and folic acid all in one. Has anyone tried it? Does it work? it's super expensive and I don't want to buy it without having some reassurance of it's validity. I also don't want to overdose my 2 year old with too many… read more
too bad what isn't gluten free?
I recently noticed the multivitamin I have been giving my kids has red dye 40. I want to give my kids a better vitamin. In my research, I found out kids with ASD need certain vitamins and minerals to feel better. I would love some input on what some of you give, and I'd also like to know why iron and copper are contraindicated.
I know its a lot but with my calculations of minerals and vitamins it is very similar in cost. It is a great vitamin. My son has made improvements. Its hard to explain these improvements overall… read more
Has anyone useD Betaine for their child's digestion? Good, bad,?
We have used one form of betaine called TMG which is naturally available in different foods. But not as a digestive aid. For that I would recommend enzymes (Houston enzymes trienza). Our son has… read more
Can anyone share what digestive enzymes they use for their child. Not sure which one to buy. Thank you.
Hi, I'm new here but I'm also looking for information on the enzymes. So far I tried trienza both chewable and powder. My 4 year old can't stand the flavor of the chewables and the powder is… read more

My 21 month old son has a lot of fits, never seems happy or satisfied. My son has mild ASD, we have him on ABA, OT and Speech therapy. He has been developing really well in the last 7 months since we started. I was told to get a Developmental Pediatrician, and a search on the net came out with these two names recommended in the Area. After being highly disappointed with the DAN doctor we went to, I'd like to have a doctor to follow my son's development and hopefully shed some light on what else can be done.
So if anyone can recommend these two doctors or others in… read more

My son is non-verbal, struggles with self-injuring himself and others, chronic constipation, and if he's not constipated, he usually has diarrhea. I've recently been looking into starting him on a special diet because I've heard it can help some children with behavior and improve speech. Has anyone`s child had positive results? Negative? Is it worth the change? Should I have him tested for gluten or casein sensitivity? I'm an open book!
My child had severe constipation ever since I stopped breast feeding her
Once we got her on gluten and dairy off her diet (we did both at once but especially dairy I think) with natural probiotics… read more
My son has always had issues with straining for his BM's. I recently started switching him over to a partially gluten free diet (mostly in my house, hardly at all in his father's house which is so annoying). I did it for a couple of days straight and already started seeing improvements in his BM's. One day at his father's yesterday and he comes home constipated, when he finally goes - blood in the stool. Went to the pediatrician to talk to them about the possible good effects of gluten free… read more
We paid a lot of money to get both children tested and they had no issues with Gluten or Caisin so we never went for the change in diet. They both do have issues with constipation if we do not do… read more
