Hi, I have a son who is over 5 years old and has autism who is still in diapers
Over the past 3-4 months, he's been exhibiting some changes in behavior when it comes to diaper changes. It started with him refusing to acknowledge when he had pooped in his diaper. getting difficulty to potty train my autistic son 4 years old. he does not communicate. kindly share your experiances. And he is very picky eater. he just like few foods specially pediasure. and i want to remove pediasure from his diet.

My daughter is 3 almost 4 she’s non verbal and has asd and developmental delayed she won’t keep clothes or pull ups on and loves to smear poop on windows and walls I’ve tried to sit her on the toilet she just cries once she reached down and grabbed poop before it hit the toilet water and smeared it on the bathroom walls how can i potty train her?

His school provides bare minimum with therapy. Our kids (only) were once on Medicaid and it seemed to provide pretty decent therapy throughout the week, however, with a pay bump at my job, and my wife now going back to work, we are just over the threshold for Medicaid. Private therapy is something that I know is worth it but again cannot simply afford it. My 15 year old high functioning autistic child (gender neutral) who has been self isolating for 1 year and has disordered eating is throwing large amounts of food in the bin. This is impacting the rest of the family in terms of dood not being there for others and me financially. I would like to 1) understand why they do it and 2) hear from others who have managed this successfully. Thanks

We are having difficult time having my son ride the car as he cries a lot and cries hysterically. He will say this way, that way and we can't practically follow him as those ways doesn't take us to the destination. He seems to be wanting to go opposite of where we want to go. And it's not for entire route but majority of the route.

It's so difficult to handle as it sometimes distracts me from driving too and get irritated too.

Anyone experiencing the similar thing or any suggestions.

When I do try to take him potty he just sits on the toilet and flushed and flushed than gets up and walks away.

Now that we are in the middle of cold and flu season (and also Covid) I wanted to get some tips or advice about giving meds to young autistic children who are non-verbal. It’s a challenge for us to even know what ails my son because he doesn’t communicate well.
