211 or you local offices for mental health and disability should have one. Schools and the food stamp office often have a list. If you have no luck there, Autism Speaks has a number you can call (… read more
I can’t find anything for his size. He only wears black! I need black footless sleepers in size 4 and I can’t find them anywhere!!! I’m losing my mind.
There is one adaptive clothing website I found, but they’re sold out of the black.
Does anyone have recommendations?
Thanks
Has anyone ever heard of Angel Sense? If u have have u tried it? My son will be starting classes in September with BCIU/early intervention and im worried how he will do and how teachers will treat him. It has a tracker if ur kid goes missing and u can even listen in on conversation wherever they are. It snaps to clothing or backpack. Wanted to know if its worth getting for the price and is it really reliable. Its rated 5 star's. Let me know what u guys think.
You could look into Apples Air Tags. They are really just for gps, and don’t have video or audio capabilities, but you can hang or place them almost anywhere. If your child has a tendency to take off… read more
This inquiry is for those who have adult sons or daughters receiving state aide. Our son was able to receive adult services before the age of 21. He attends an adult day program, but we also were able to receive funding for support services. We put in our budget for the moment 10 hours a week ( either all on one weekend day or splitting it up). This is different than respite services. Does anyone know any internet sites that advertise positions for suppport staff? We do not have anyone in mind… read more
Not sure what a "cadi waiver" is but our support broker has hooked us up with a vendor that is helping us to fill the support personel position.
Either.
Don't be afraid to Admit to them that you do not know the process, you'll find someone that will help.
My son is 7 not potty trained yet. Me and my wife live in California. A treacher suggested we send my son to a place out of state in Virginia to help him more. This would just crush me. I think I would try medication and other therapy here before I even attempted that. What is everyone's opinion on what to do? Son says only a handful of words. Thanks all in advance.
I would definitely start therapies as soon as possible. Have you been working with your local board of developmental disabilities? It may be called something different in Cali. They are a great… read more
My son is 21 and attends our local community college. He's there to get his GED because his high school "decided" to give him a local diploma because they felt he "couldn't do it". Turns out..with alot of support...HE CAN do it.. I am pushing hard to get this GED for him, but Math always sets him back. He can't pass it because the kids have behavioral problems, not special needs. Big difference!! They are all HS dropouts!! Why can't there be a way for my son to get a high school diploma without… read more

I'm asking about toys we can continue to collect for our adults with their preferences? Our son LOVES his Playmobil collection and we would like to continue to help him add to it. We would also like to help him do it on his own as well.
Thanks! I've posted on FB groups/Marketplace. No luck so far. I'll check out Mercari:)
Happy hunting on Squishmallows. If I come across someone with them to pass along, I'll remember you! Cheers:)
Could you suggest brands of disco lights or others sensory lights you may know of
My daughter loves her light projectors.
How can I find a local support group? My grandson needs help and we've been on waiting list for psychologists and psychiatrists for a year now. He's struggling and at risk of failing or being expelled for his behavior in school since being transferred back to regular middle school.
