A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve heard that too much screen time causes autism. And that you can improve autism by spending more time with your child.

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son loves to eat and eats quite a few things, but he will regurgitate his food and seems to be eating it a second time ( so gross I know). I don't know why he does this or even how to stop it, any ideas would be great.

Are Autistic Children Capable Of Learning How To Swim?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am interested in signing up my daughter for swimming lessons. She loves the water and I notice that she tries to float on her own, but I am not sure If she is capable of succeeding in that due to her lack of listening skills. Is there any other mothers out there that has a child with autism and has them in swimming lessons?

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son is 8. He is diagnosed with autism and anxiety disorder. He’s not really taken many meds before. But his pediatrician put him on intuniv to calm him down because he’s contstanly into trouble at school to the point DCS is involved with his behavior now. But since he started this medication he’s not talking but saying a few words here and there, he won’t eat barely. I mean it’s 5pm here and he’s ate 1 COOKIE all day. I’ve not seen him dance like he always does. I’m so sad. He’s also sick… read more

Does Anyone Have Tips Or Tricks On Keeping Clothes (and Diaper) On Your Preschooler?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

This is becoming problematic over here because he will strip the moment my back is turned or attention diverted. It's not necessarily a clothing texture thing. He doesnt have an issue wearing clothes to go out of the house and doesnt show a strong aversion to anything except a senory vest. He just simply prefers to be butt naked at home and has no concept of why wearing clothing is necessary, which is a problem when he's not potty trained. Also, getting into the colder months the house runs a… read more
