Never though I’d be writing this but my almost 4yo son with ASD never used to care to much about the dogs but lately he’s been really into them, he likes to lick them then rubs against them, proceeds to remove his nappy and he’s clearly excited by the dogs. Any idea why he’s doing this ? The dogs our beautifully natured and they are never alone. I’d ideally Love to stop the behaviour.
So, I saw this add for a program for our kids that claims 100% positive results. Apparently, it is tailored to each individual child to take specific steps to improve their behavior, diets, social skills, etc. without the use of ABA. I have been doing a lot of research on the internet lately to see if there is any other natural things that may be of use to my severe autistic 13 yr old daughter for self injury. I have seen a lot of people try supplements B6, Calcium, Magnesium, & DMG and some have had a lot of success. Just wondering if anyone has tried these with their child? and the outcomes? Any negative effects?
I've given my son B6 and Magnesium together before. After a few months, it seemed to lesson his hyperactivity. I gave him DMG when he was younger, but I don't remember how well it worked.
Maybe add a weighted blanket? They have different hefts. I bought a Minecraft one for my son that is relatively light. He likes to sleep with it on every night.
