My 6 yr old gd is having aggression issues at school.... looking back it seems that the aggression started before an illness.... such as sinus infection...6yr molars... Last week she had some good days and some very horrible days.... she told her aide on Tuesday that she didn't feel well and wanted to go home. For her to express that she isn't feeling well is a great thing for us right now!.... Dr said that she had fluid in her ear....and she… read more

Why are there no resource groups for older, (adult) less functional Asperger patients?

Adult Aspies need something to do. There are no groups, or get-togethers or any other events or activities planned for them. If they're out of school, what then? Endless solitary video gaming. It's just a shame these older kids in their twenties have no places to bond or make friends, or even meet others like themselves.

How to keep from being depressed because your non verbal child can't speak?

I have a 4 yr old son that is non verbal. How do others keep from being depressed when people look at you because they think your child should talk? My son looks like he is a 6 yr old because he is so tall. I'm tired of the looks and stares because he can only babble. Also its so hard not hearing your child say I love you when you are pouring your heart out trying everything you can to help. I long to hear those words.

Recently i've been getting a lot of complaints regarding my son's behavior in school. Not rude behavior, just my son not listening and doing what he wants to do. Some teachers would have to send my son back to his main specials teachers because he just won't listen. I've taken away his some of his privileges, i've talked to him trying to find out exactly whats going on and he's just as… read more
