My son runs up and down our hallway pretending to be a 'cheetah' or 'horse' etc. He has started putting paper, makers, toys for himself to obstacle through. Yesterday, even with my interference he fell at least 4 times. I am still not sure how pain affects ASD toddlers. I am starting to see signs when he is hurt, but he gets mad at me for saying NO and the process starts again. I wish I could still put him in a crib lol! Im looking for his… read more

I am about to be transferred from California to Denver for my job and out here we have regional centers that cover things like respite and home aba programs and also speech and ot that is not covered by school or insurance. who would I contact in Denver to get the ball rolling/////also do you get IHSS for your son as we have it now here at 195 hours and want to get the ball rolling in Denver as well. any help would be awesomely appreciated.… read more

My son is 4 and has Aspergers. He has a history of torticollis (head on right shoulder with head turned up to the left) for which he has received PT and chiropractor adjustments. Zoe woke up from her nap screaming and pulling on her ear so I called the doctor and they cant get in her until tomorrow but her ear is really red so im thinking about taking her to a walk in clinic. Has anyone ever tryed a walk in clinic for a quick thing?

I haven't been able to find any good books on autism in spanish for my spanish speaking only family members. I've seen some but they were ridiculous and I didn't expect them to read them and understand the books. it took several months for some in the family to accept it and somewhat understand it, but at least they got there and I'm lucky they did.
