In Georgia, a proposal is for treatments up to age 6(!)now and the voters will have to approve a sales tax to help kids with autism up to age 18. Has any state done that? Any state passed a sales tax of everyone to pay for something that will benefit 1% of the population?
Sole comment on the legislation. Doesn't look good if there a lot more clowns like this one.

I've said it several times but this just reinforces my view that Georgia is going continue holding the title of worst state for kids with autism. It's the 8th most populous state in the union and one… read more
I know I'm not the only working mother in this area. Where the heck can I find a preK that will take an ASD 5 year old, still in pull-ups, and on project lifesaver (wanders) so that I don't lose my flipping job?
@A MyAutismTeam Member, thanks for the insight.
Hi! I have been super researching vitamin B12 for my 3 year old son. He is verbal but still delayed and has some social interaction delays. Do I need a prescription to begin the spray? Can it be at all harmful? Has anyone saw changes in their children after using the spray. I know the injections are superior but not sue if it's for us. I don't even know where to begin on all this. He has no guy issues, eats super duper healthy, and is potty trained. Any advice from parents would be wonderfully… read more
Hey so would I just ask my doctor about it or like who do I speak to?
Has anyone used colored gel filters on exterior lights for Light It Up Blue? I have the opportunity to light up the Court House in my town and I could use some advice. I'm supposed to talk to the maintenance guy tomorrow and get more specs on the type of bulb (I believe it's halogen, which poses a problem with extreme heat), the size of the light fixtures, how we can attach the filters, etc. But if anyone has this experience, I'll sure listen!
Thanks!

I tried to offer him a break but he said no.He wanted to be there. He struggles the most in this type of situation. He understands a lot, and is very aware. We like to help him meet his needs in socially acceptable ways as we learned at therapy. A woman from my sister's church said "Is he Autistic or does he have Down Syndrome? We do not like… read more
This is so true. I also often answer by saying that he gets excited etc. It is hard to believe that an adult would behave that way. It did not come across as well meaning.
Has anyone ever heard of this or have any experience with it? My mother in law came across this new story and passed it along to me this morning...
