Does it help Autism symptoms?

A MyAutismTeam Member

anything that advertises "28 days to a younger you" I would be leery of. I would say no. However, I would recommend doing more research on it first before trying it.

Calculus Assesment
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son, a college sophomore-junior is having great difficulty passing Calc I. He has taken the pre-requisites but still is not able to get beyond a grade in the sixties. I think a diagnostic-comprehensive assessment would help us uncover where the weakness lies. He needs this class to move on in all majors he has identified. Where or how do you think I could get this done.

Where To Live In Missouri?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi. My husband and I are considering making a big move for our soon to be 5 year old son who is nonverbal. We live in Oklahoma now but we have heard good things about Missouri. Can anyone help suggest a good school district or town in Missouri? We also have a 3 year old son not on the spectrum and a 17 month who hasn't shown any signs of regression yet. Want to be somewhere that is good for everyone.

Sensitive To Noise
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello my daughter Vianni is three years old. About a week ago I notice she's been plugging her ears with her index fingers during loud noises or just at random. Tonight she's been covering them for about an hour now. The noise is pretty normal at my house. Can anyone explain more to me about sensory overload and her hearing. I am pretty new at all this. I know it can be normal in a child with autism. Is there anything I can do to help her? It breaks my heart not to be able to do anything for… read more

Is There Hope For A 24 Month Old That Only Has A Few Spoken Words And Has Limited Receptive Language Skills?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have a beautiful 2 year old son that has recently qualified for ECI services for speech, special skills training, and occupational therapy. We have an autism evaluation scheduled in a couple of weeks and I would be shocked if we don't get a diagnosis. Our son has lots of anxiety and tries to very hard to communicate with us, but says only a few single words intelligibly. He does not always respond when we speak to him and we are unsure how much spoken language he understands. Nevertheless, he… read more

Does Anyone Else Have Oxford Healthcare In NY?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi--we have Oxford Healthcare (New York). For nearly an entire year, we have gotten the complete run-around--like in the Matt Damon movie (The Rainmaker)--deny all claims. This is for specifically approved ABA therapy, etc. They claim to have "lost files," given us erroneous fax numbers, told us we were past the claim date (which of course was because they "lost" the file," and other issues. We are considering hiring an attorney to sort this out--even though it's likely to be more expensive… read more
