My 2 Year Old NT Son With SPD Has Been Needing A Lot Of Oral Stimulation Lately, What Are Your Favorite "chewies" And Why?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My 2 year old is either biting his nails or chewing on his shirt all day. My oldest who is autistic and has SPD as well needed oral stimulation, but never chewed on nails or shirts. I know there are a lot of chewies out there, but I'm not sure which one I should get for him. Anyone have any recommendations?

I've heard good things about Chewelry, but cannot give personal reviews since I don't have kids who like to chew stuff.

Gum did the trick for our son, who was 7-8 at the time.

Here's my favorite: http://kidcompanions.com/archives/product_categ...
We've tried several--my kids bite through most chewies in a day or two. These last them quite a long time (months!) They're also great for older kids b/c they just look like a really cool necklace--my daughter (9) gets compliments on her "necklace" all the time. They cost more than any chewies out there, but to me it's worth the cost for something they'll use and that will last us awhile! They can also be worn as a clip-on--my son wears them that way, b/c he doesn't like things around his neck.
