I believe this is the time to start making sure our state and federal representatives know just how we feel about it. I know everyone has lots of time and energy, but if we parents don't step up and let the law makers know about the emotional, physical, and fiscal impact this will have on our families and on the wider community, who will do it?
Has Autism Speaks stepped up their advocacy role on this one? There needs to be a central repository of comments, and they are the 800# gorilla.

I am aware and I am freaking out. My 3 yo has a dx of PDd.... She has a multitude of impairments but she is small so they went with pdd.
Sorry. This is about the article from the NY Times about the re-classification of ASD in the newest edition of the DSM. There have been several threads here in different places.
