Should I Be Concerned If There Seems To Be A Steady Increase Of Stimming Activity Where There Was Little To No Activity A Year Ago?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

At first it started with "jumping on her toes"
then "jumping on her toes while looking up with only her eyes"
then "jumping on her toes while looking up with her mouth open (like an O)"
to now "jumping on her toes while looking up...mouth open... & arms down to side moving all her fingers really fast." Should I be concerned... is this a "normal" progression??

my son is 18 and we are recently diagnosed, but from our dr told us, bathing is a calming thing. My son loves baths, only takes showers when he has to wash his hair. When he gets stressed out, he heads to the tub (if he's in a position to do that). I will be happy to share anything i have learned if you would want..i'm on this site all the time it seems, learning and sharing. :)

Water is a very good calming treatment it works with my daughter when she is really upset, and within minutes she is happy and calm. Sometimes we do not even have to get her in the tub we just play with water in the sink. In the summer we have a water table that she uses and it works every time.

We recently were told David has Asperger's and gave a list of things David does. When I told the doctor that David recently add bathing in the AM hours more than usual he was concerned and ask many questions. We found out that David being on the basketball team has triggered it. I would just call and ask. No harm in asking? Our doctor told me one thing if I am asking myself if I should have concerns then I should. I call or email the staff and they reassure me and if they feel it is a concern I bring David in for a consult.
I am new to Asperger's and the understanding of it. I would call just to ask.
