My 7 year old daughter has been diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, PDD and anxieties. I have noticed that January to March are particularly bad months where her symptoms flare-up. We are in Long Island, NY and last winter was severe with huge amounts of snow so even though I got my kids out for winter walks there was no outdoor recess at school and I just figured that was why her symptoms were so bad. YES! my son has always displayed regression and physical sores from Dec thru Feb. - 7 yo now

I get my kids outside everyday (sometimes twice) and still have problems this winter. My daughter also seems to be more weepy this time of year. I tried the light this morning but I can't say if it's working yet. It's probably too soon. We went hiking today for an hour so that should help too. Thanks for all the info.

i always make sure in the winter months they still get physical activity. goes the same for rainy days also

Sounds like cabin fever. All kids get this way. My mood is down also.
