We use Care.com for PCAs (TEFRA) ... we use a center and a home daycare for before and after school.

We asked our friends for recommendations. We did find a private home with a wonderful caretaker who had a background in special education. She no longer does daycare but we did do private to help with our son's sensory integration issues.

I am a day care provider in NC, I'm not sure if your rules are different there but here if you except any kind of federal funding you can not deny a child with disabilities because of them. There are some exceptions, I live on a hill so I have alot of steps, so it would be impossible for me to have someone in a wheel chair. If the day care is licenced they should be able to take care of your child. Good Luck
