Does anyone know of a good book about Asperger's to give my parents and in-laws? My 5 year old step-son was recently diagnosed and I think it might be good to have a short book or something to give them to help understand what is going on in his life right now or should I take a different approach? I'm new to all of this but both sets of grandparents are very involved with him and see him weekly during the school year and more during the summer.
The boy who saved my life by Earle Martin. It's written by a grandfather of an autistic boy. He came and spoke at my daughters school-amazing man. Amazing story and journey. Highly recommend!
@TracyJo39-sometimes I feel like I have so much information and experiences concerning my twin granddaughters from being born preemies up to this point at 13 years old. I am sure it would make for an interesting book. When you said the grandfather spoke at your daughters school-it brought back memories about the time I was asked to speak at an autism seminar in Oak Brook, Illinois. The moderator said that I did not have any paper, notes or anything and I just got up there like I am sure many of you can and spoke from the heart about what was real to me. It was very emotional, very heart tugging, but well worth every word I spoke.
