My grandson is loosing his first tooth, the replacement tooth is already thru gum showing half of new tooth, how can we get him to loosen tooth without taking him to the dentist?

If he is willing to wiggle it, try making it fun. Remind him of the tooth fairy and that he will get a surprise. If he ia a heavy sleeper, u can help loosen it while he is asleep.

You can encourage him to wiggle it but you don't really have to do anything. They all fall out eventually - usually when they're eating :)
