A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

It helped my son alot!!! We also had a lot of trouble getting my son to sit. After he started neurotherapy tho, he liked it and then would sit just fine. But you just need to get past the beginning part.

At the time we starte, we used to wrap my son tightly in a blanket to give him sensory input which was calming to him. He really liked this. So at the beginning of neurotherapy, we used the blanket as well.

I'm not saying that will work for you. You need to experiment to find out what you can do that will calm him enough that he will sit.

Now the benefits we have seen.... decrease in mood swings, aggression, self-injurious behavior, and destruction of property. Increase in sleep, language, attention, and engagement.
