What Can I Expect During A Home Visit From A Service Coordinator From Our Local Regional Center?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Just wondering what to expect. What are some of the observations, questions that will be asked? I actually have not used their services since munchkin was 2yrs old, he is now five. So I honestly can't remember what took place at that time. Thanks

I have only had a home visit from early steps and then from a town social worker, and they both asked similar questions. They should first be asking about medical diagnosis. They are going to ask you about your child's medical history; they are going to ask you about you and your husband’s family history as well. They are going to ask about how your child acts and what behaviors they are experiencing and how they react to daily routines and situations. They are going to test for intelligence and abilities based upon other children at the same age. They should also ask you about what environment the child is in and who they are exposed to on a daily basis.
