Having Difficulty Finding A Good School (elementary School) For My Son
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son is about to start kindergarten but I am having a difficult time finding a good private school. I have been told that the public schools are a waste of time and doesn't help with kids with special needs. Plus the school he qualifies for has a 3/10 rating. I live in Davenport, FL.
I would really appreciate any help, recommendation, suggestion you can offer concerning this.

Thanks

Wow! This is great information! It's like you're in my head....that is exactly what I would like for my son as well. I would like for him to be in a school with typical kids. In a social Ed class with ABA therapy and then transition to regular class. This is the goal. I will definitely take your advice and not sign the IEP until I know he's getting the best. I will also make sure I check out the school before accepting it.

Thanks again for your advice....I really appreciate it!

Thanks for your help concerning this. I will start to look into the public school system. I'll see how the process goes.
