Any Suggestions On How To Prepare A Teenage Boy With PDD-NOS For His Sister Moving Away To College Next Fall?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My 14-year old son with PDD-NOS is very close to his big sister, who will be going away to college next fall. He has no other siblings. How can I help him prepare for this separation, which I know he will hate? He will get to see her on most weekends.

my daughter started college this august, shes living at home but hardly ever home and its been hard on our son. We set aside specific time on Sunday's for her to spend with him and that has helped. I also plan on taking him to the campus so he can see where she's at and learn more about college. I think I am having a harder transition then my son!

Me too. Our whole family went to her college orientation day, and Jonathan seems to be doing ok. It won't be easy but perhaps this helped.
