My son is 20 months old and was diagnosed last month with autism and spd. I have him in OT, ST and PT but want to start aba as soon as possible. I just have no idea where to take him. I have an appt set up for an eval with behavioral innovations this Friday but the idea of leaving him there scares me and I didn't get a good feeling from them on the phone. I would love to have someone come to our house but I don't know where to find people that do that. Does anyone have any aba recommendations or… read more

Have you tried Parents helping Parents? They are a good resource to help find support in your area.

Thanks for the responses. I don't have a case worker... Where do I do that through? I'm in Texas and we have great insurance it's just finding where to look. I went to a few places today and didn't really feel comfortable at all leaving him at either one. I'm so thankful money/insurance isn't an issue but I can't find where to go:-(

@ ABA recommendation: You should have the option of having your child receive therapy in your home. My advice to call your case worker and ask her for a list of places that provide in home behavior therapy.
