Florida parents of kids with ASD: do your kids get ABA therapy? Who is your insurance provider? We are having such a struggle getting Cali approved through her insurance. She is under Florida Kid Care (Sunshine State through Medicaid) and since it's a Medicaid HMO, they say they do not cover ABA. Even though Florida has an autism insurance mandate! Can anyone help? Are there any grants if I can't get it approved?

Hi, please let me know were you able to get any coverage and how did you go about it?
We left Florida because of theses issues. The kids only got the very little that the school provided during the day. Unless you have private insurance to pay for it you are out of luck.
As for grants the only one I know of is the McKay grant, which we actually did get for a summer program we used to have the kids go to in Naples. We took them to Eden where they provided ABA but we still had to pay the rest that the grant did not cover and it was thousands.
