It looks like CDC whistleblower has gone public with his role in covering up data that showed 3x ASD risk from MMR for African American children if given before 3 years of age. This story is becoming mainstream now. CNN reported it on their site and looks like whistleblower is talking to congressman, so hope there are congressional hearings investigating the alleged fraud at CDC.

Ex-CBS award winning investigative reporter Sharyl Atkinson got the CDC director to acknowledge the possibility of link (which is obvious and already proven) but it is clear, they are not interested in investigating who/what is the susceptible segment. Well, how about do a replicating study in a larger segment of African american kids in other areas of the country? Could have done that a decade ago to test this correlation rather than hiding it. Hopefully, there is a congressional investigation/hearing, but like many before, it won't really change anything.

The whistleblower wanted to remain anonymous but it was leaked or cdc figured it out. Below is his public statement.
"My name is William Thompson. I am a Senior Scientist with the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, where I have worked since 1998.
I regret that my coauthors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the journal Pediatrics. The omitted data suggested that African American males who received the MMR vaccine before age 36 months were at increased risk for autism. Decisions were made regarding which findings to report after the data were collected, and I believe that the final study protocol was not followed."

The iReport was taken down a while ago and there is new CNN story that spins the whistleblower story in positive way pro-vaccine way. So it is going mainstream slowly but obfuscating the real story.
CNN iReport isn't CNN, it's a site for articles uploaded by random users that are not verified by CNN.
Investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson looked deeper into the story and found that reports of Dr. William Thompson being a whistleblower for vaccine safety were greatly exaggerated. In fact, Thompson issued a press release Wednesday to clarify the situation:
I want to be absolutely clear that I believe vaccines have saved and continue to save countless lives. I would never suggest that any parent avoid vaccinating children of any race. Vaccines prevent serious diseases, and the risks associated with their administration are vastly outweighed by their individual and societal benefits.
My concern has been the decision to omit relevant findings in a particular study for a particular sub group for a particular vaccine. There have always been recognized risks for vaccination and I believe it is the responsibility of the CDC to properly convey the risks associated with receipt of those vaccines.
