I know it covers occupational and speech, but cannot find out about ABA.
Thank you in advance.

The subsidized Health Kids / FL Kidcare / CMS plans do pay for ABA for children with Autism / Spectrum diagnosis and even for those with social pragmatic communications disorder or ADHD. The Sunshine Health plan does not though. You have to get a referral from your neurologist or PCP and then call the behavioral health line connected with (Concordia BH 877-698-7783). When you fax over referral, make sure to call to make sure they get it. Concordia BH seems very disorganized (one day they say they have it but they are waiting for the ABA, next time another person will say they did not get the referral, etc.) and they drag there feet on approvals even if ABA is doing what they need from their side. Don't let too much time pass before checking on the status(es) so you are not lost in the process. Aside of that, they cover the ABA without copay.

Depends on where the ABA is. Some will take it some won't. You need to contact a place and ask them. Where in FL are you?

In florida Medicade and sunshine and cms will cover aba, but they will only cover it if you don't pay the top tier premium for the insurance. Meaning if you make too much money according to the set rates once your child turns 5 they won't cover aba at all and only will give you 8 weeks of speech and OT. Florida is terrible with helping children with autism.

FL Healthy Kids should cover ABA - it was mandated. I think you need to get in touch with them personally and speak to them about the services. Best of luck to you. I am right on the East Coast in PSL (near WPB)
