My son eats all day he's not over weight and he eats everything to healthy and not so healthy he is thirsty all day is non stop how do I stop the drinking all day is more then the eating ....is this bad?
Probably just kids who are still lucky enough to burn off all that sugar with a high metabolism. I have diabetes and would be more concerned with the first post being thirsty all the time. If they are also running to the bathroom a lot or acting strangely, ( overly tired, slurring) after eating like that their regular doctor can run tests to rule out blood sugar problems. They may just do an in office finger stick test or an A1C that tells you your average blood sugars for the last three months.
Excuse the giggle but my son does this too. Not only my 4 year old but my 16 yo step son. The 4 yo will eat just about anything ALL DAY LONG. Sweets, vegetables, candy, cheese.... Its like he's a bottomless pit. He is my ASD kid. My step son is a little easier to control food intake but we have caught him eating straight confectioners sugar soooo... I'm not sure what the answer is to it. Maybe boredom? I try to distract 4 until actual meal or snack times. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Do what feels right for you.
my son does the same thing. The meds he's taking makes him very hungry.
