What I have been told and have been trying is when you give him something he likes pair his name with it. My son loves strawberries so I say chase strawberries for example. I've been practicing that.

Praise Him. When he responds to his name you praise him like it's the best thing you've ever seen him do. It will eventually make a difference.

Put a reinforcer in front of him and move it towards your face as you say his name.
