Dear super parents,
I am in the process to enroll some summer camps for my 6-year old son. My son is on the ASD spectrum, he is still on the special education program
provided by the school district, but graduated from his therapy in March this year after two years of ABA therapy. He is verbal and high-functioning, but anxious about changes and sensitive to strange sounds/noise. He still needs a camp aid. Have you tried the Provider Directory here on MAT or Googles camps in your area.
@A MyAutismTeam Member I know it's two years later but I am in a similar situation.. which camp did you use eventually? How did it go?
We provide an aide 1 to 1 if needed for the camps we run here in Berkeley if they don't have their ABA therapist with them. Does your child have an ABA provider? If not ask his teachers if they know of anyone or any para professionals who would like to work during the summer to be your son's aide. Where are you located?
