I have been doing a lot of research on the internet lately to see if there is any other natural things that may be of use to my severe autistic 13 yr old daughter for self injury. I have seen a lot of people try supplements B6, Calcium, Magnesium, & DMG and some have had a lot of success. Just wondering if anyone has tried these with their child? and the outcomes? Any negative effects?
I've given my son B6 and Magnesium together before. After a few months, it seemed to lesson his hyperactivity. I gave him DMG when he was younger, but I don't remember how well it worked.
I was lucky could not grow a mustache till about 20yrs but was able to handle it thank goodness.
Has anyone had any experience with their child with Asperger's Syndrome taking German in school? My older daughter took Spanish in high school (she also has Asperger's), but my son will be taking German and I am worried because it can be a very difficult language to learn.
You'd be surprised with Asperger Students and a foreign language. Usually they do very well.
I need help. My son is 18 months old. He just got over having E. coli.
He has been putting his hands in his dirty diapers then mouthing his hands. I figured if I put pants in over his onesie then he couldn't do it. Boy was I wrong. He still figured out how to get to his diaper

My 5 year old daughter just started Kindergarden a few months ago and was diagnosed just two weeks ago. I am really trying hard to get her on a more regular schdule but I am having trouble. Not only does she act as if she is no where near tired but she will not go to sleep with out me unless she is completely exhausted. I really dont like to give children medication but if that is the only recourse then I will. I feel like such a bad parent allowing her to stay up until I am ready to go to bed⦠read more

Melatonin saved us! My son wasn't going to sleep until about 3 or 4 and then having to get up for achool. And then finally the Dr told us about the melatonin and it worked wonders!
My son constantly has to drum on the walls, he has drums but does not use it. I understand they he has to do it but are their in options or is it something I might have to live with?

What is the best GPS for a 5 yr old boy? My son tends to wander off also, also likes to run away. Concern that he will run off at school especially in the morning that they wait on the office with door opened. The schol it that secured. I warned tha teachers about this.
IONKIDS has a watch and tag to place on the child and a system that warns you when they are 1 to 700+ fet away and actually tracks the direction in which they are headed
I have experienced many different request from parents. Some want more some want less and some don't participate in the school program at all. Some kids have paraprofessionals, OT, PT, sped teacher, and parents are unhappy and want more specialists, and some parents want less services and more inclusion with no para.
