Occupational Therapy Resources
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

my son's OT suggested that i purchase sensory resources such as obstacle course (tunnel, crash mats) weighted vest, deep pressure seat etc.) to reduce extreme hyperactivity and increase attention for table top tasks. he already has a 10ft trampoline and a swing set which he uses daily.got him a weighted blanket sometime back and did not seem to like it
any of you purchased such things ? do they really work? will he lose interest ? appreciate your advice.

I recommend sensorygoods.com They have a great selection of items for all sensory needs. I used a weighted teddy bear for my son whom never got old of it. We also have a trampoline and do some DIY sensory crafts at home. Sensory water bottles, shaving cream painting, water table, corn bucket etc.
