Hello
I wanted to ask on here before I call ABA services tomorrow. I am wondering what questions do you all ask when looking for an ABA provider/therapist? So far I pretty much am going to see what all they provide (1:1 or group based, in home or center, etc) and see how many hours it would be for, how long the wait list (since it's pretty full everywhere apparently), and whatever else comes to mind. Make sure to ask about the BCBA in charge of your son's team. You may even want to ask to talk to that person. That way you will get a better feeling of their approach to ABA. You want to make sure with his age that they are offering services in a "naturalistic approach", meaning play based and your son driven. Ask about how many times the BCBA will actually be in contact with your son and how her team is made up. Ask how long her therapists have been providing ABA. I think that's a good start.
Best of luck on your hunt! Keep us updated!
I still don't understand what is ABA Theraphy , can someone have a good explanation . Cuz when I heard about ABA and I did asked around and someone said that is same thing as habilitation but then as I understand that is two different things and the understanding of one doctor that I talked too said that is two different thing . So I'm kinda confused !
THANK YOU so much @A MyAutismTeam Member and @A MyAutismTeam Member

Thank you so much! Those are great to ask and I sure will!
Also I just thought about this but I know some people say the ABA therapist comes out to the school with the child sometimes to work in a school setting. Is that common? How do I ask (professionally lol) if they come out to the school as well?
