Looking For Advice On Areas In Florida With Good Adult Services.
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

We are looking to move from Ohio to Florida as our son transitions to adult services, we are especially looking for job assistance and living assistance. Both Jacksonville and Tampa/St. Petersburg have been suggested but we know little about services in those areas. And we are open to other areas if there is good support for our son. Any advice is appreciated.

It always seems that I have to be negative about Florida but services for the disabled are not good. I can tell you the services fir children are not good, and I moved from there because of it. Florida Medicaid does not cover a lot either. Maybe someone else can give you better news and maybe it has changed in the last 4 years but back then it was not good, and there was a lot of OOP cost.
