At age 12 he is fully self sufficient. He is able to stay home by himself - I'm only allowing 1hour but he wants more. He can prepare a simple meal for himself, does chores and saves his allowance.

In two weeks my son is graduating college and will receive his Bachelor's. I was told don't waste the money, it is too much for him, it won't work, etc. He is under guardianship currently but he is working hard at flipping that around. I am still in awe at how he was non verbal and quite the handful to the young man he has become. Every therapy, every intervention, every service, every tear TOTALLY worth it.

After a 4-year battle of wills w the local school district, my 10th grade Asperger's teen is finally in a private day school for "quirky bright kids" that really pushes academic achievement. On his report card last week, my son got 2 A's, 2 B's, a C+ & a (high) D in Spanish. So, he's not a big fan of foreign languages.... But my son earned these grades w/o any special help & I'm super proud of him!!!

One more thing I wanted to add is his GPA 4.0- with a disability. This all can be done.
