My 16-year-old son has a recent ASD disgnosis (see my story to learn why he was diagnosed so late). I keep reading about ABA therapy. Is it something useful for a teenager? Or is he too old to get much out of that? If you think I should pursue it, what kind of benefits might I expect to see?
Hello im mom of 11 she will be 12 in January . I have wondered about ABA- i have heard about it but wondered if it will help her. What exactly does it for High Functioning ? I dont know alot about it...
Our daughter is now 17 and just got ABA last year. We were on a wait list for nearly 2 years. We have found it very helpful in school issues such as IEP adaptiv goals area, community outings as a family like going to the grocery store.
I have heard ABA helps with teens. Worth a try if you can get it.
Im just wondering if I need to get ABA for my daughter who will be 12 this month. She has meltdowns and will get upset, rock alot, repeat the same thing over and over and somtimes she will try to hit at me but the continually says she is sorry..I just want what is going to help my baby girl...
I have the same question as mom2learn. What can my high functioning teen get out of it?
