My son has never been interested in drawing, coloring, writing or anything of that sort. We buy him coloring books and crayons, and he would rather flip through the pages. I am doing research on the brain and how Owen associates color. He wants everyone in “blue pants” which is technically blue jeans but any blue pants will do.

I have 4 years old under the spectrum. Since he was two years old he is humping pillows whenever the opportunity comes a home. He does not do such thing at daycare, but whenever he comes home from daycare, he eats and then start humping pillow on the bed. I saw he has erection. Is this normal?. Usually he does that for over 30 minutes. I do really need to know if anybody saw something like this in the past.

My pediatrician does not have blood draw in her office. We went to Quest yesterday and we left because, even though they said they do pediatric blood draws, he was very resistant in a way that I thought would make him never want to get his blood drawn again if I forced it. They also didn’t seem to have anything special for kids- no numbing spray, no quiggles like they say they have on their website- she said they don’t do quiggles anymore. My 12 year old son with autism is experiencing pins and needles in his feet and hands. We have tried 3 times unsuccessfully to draw his blood to get to the bottom of this. The third time we had a nurse come to the house and even with Valium and a numbing cream he was unable to have it done as he is very afraid of needles. My son often hits his sister when he gets angry. This happens on an almost daily basis. He loves his sister and knows that what he is doing is unacceptable and painful, but still does it. I know some sibling rivalry is expected, but I am afraid he is going really hurt her one of these days.

My almost four year old non verbal autistic nephew has recently started to scrawl people - On their arms, hands, feet etc. Does anyone know, why he might be doing this? or how we can help him prevent him from doing so?
